Don’t miss your chance to be a part of A’Salt Creek Roller Girls upcoming third season! If you have ever wanted to be a roller girl, referee, or league volunteer the time is now. An informational meeting and demonstration will be taking place at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds Industrial Building in Casper (1700 Fairgrounds Road) on December 8 between 6 and 9 pm.
Roller girls skate flat track roller derby for great charities and give back to the community by volunteering. Expect to practice 4-6 hours a week. No prior skating or sports experience is necessary; ACRG’s dedicated coaching staff is experienced in teaching skaters all they need to know to be successful on the track. A limited supply of loaner skates and protective equipment will be available for your use at the demonstration. If you have your own quad roller skates please bring them along!
The ACRG MP’s are the men and women in vertical stripes laying down the law on the flat track. If you are looking for a way to get involved that does not involve as many bone-jarring hits or if you just enjoy whistling at roller girls try being a referee. The MP’s strive to be fair and unbiased in all the calls they make while enforcing the rules flat track leagues skate with. Referees are expected to practice weekly involving rules knowledge and skating skills. MP’s are allowed to wear inline skates (rollerblades) but are strongly encouraged to wear quads.
If you want to contribute but don’t like the idea of being on skates at bouts we have many volunteer opportunities for you! From the technical side involving statistical tracking and maintaining the track to bout production, there are a wide variety of roles ACRG needs to make each bout a success. If you have a great idea for a way to get involved we want to hear it! If you want to get involved but don’t know where to start, we’ll find the right spot for you.
Experience this exciting sport from a new perspective. ACRG has grown with each successful season and the league is looking forward to even more success in the new year. It’s easy to get involved. Contact any of the following to learn more:
